Lockforce was established in August 2004 with the aim of entering into the Maritime Security sector. Several large contracts during this period have led to Lockforce contracting external consultants to meet clients' demand. Continued growth has seen Lockforce enter into the commercial sector, with focus in the field of Maritime Security, Training, OHS and Auditing services

In October 2008 Lockforce Consultancy International Pty Ltd was established consisting of several shareholders. This method of having a sense of ownership has allowed Lockforce International to commence growth via a means of accountability and productivity utilising the core skills and attributes each shareholder brings to the company, which are valued.

The restructuring of Lockforce has positioned the company on an international level, whilst utilizing a successful business model to introduce exciting new products and services to the market place, such as the worlds first online certified ISPS course and certified Maritime Security Professional Scheme.
